Where to find your password
  1. Enable two‑step verification on your Microsoft account (Outlook.com or personal Microsoft account). Without it, you won't see App Passwords options.
  2. Go to your Microsoft Account Security page and open Advanced security options (or More Security Settings depending on UI).
  3. Scroll down to the App passwords section. Select Create a new app password or Add sign‑in method → App password.
  4. Type a name for the app/device, then click Next or Create.
  5. A randomly generated password is displayed—copy it and use it where you'd normally enter your Microsoft account password in older apps or email clients.
  6. Click Done.
