Microsoft OAuth
Sign in via Microsoft's secure authorization page. Patriot Mail receives a limited access token and never sees your Microsoft password.
Help
Patriot Mail connects to Outlook, Hotmail, and Live accounts using Microsoft OAuth. Microsoft has removed password-based IMAP access for personal accounts, so OAuth is the only supported method for most users.
How to connect
Microsoft OAuth is the standard sign-in method for all personal Outlook, Hotmail, and Live accounts.
Go to Settings, then Accounts, then Add New Account and choose Outlook.
You will be sent to Microsoft's sign-in page. Sign in with your Microsoft account and approve the permission request for Patriot Mail.
Microsoft redirects back to Patriot Mail and your inbox starts loading automatically.
Work and school accounts
Microsoft 365 and organizational accounts managed by an employer or school use the same OAuth flow. However, your organization's IT administrator may need to approve third-party app access before Patriot Mail can connect.
Start the Outlook sign-in flow. If admin approval is required, Microsoft will display a message during authorization.
If prompted, use the "Request approval" option on the Microsoft consent screen. Your IT administrator will receive a request to allow Patriot Mail.
Once the administrator approves Patriot Mail, repeat the sign-in flow and it will complete without a second prompt.
Troubleshooting
OAuth failed
OAuth sign-in must be completed in one continuous session. Go back to Add Account and start a fresh attempt if the first one failed or timed out.
Permissions screen skipped
If Microsoft skips the permissions screen and connects with incomplete access, remove Patriot Mail from your Microsoft privacy dashboard and then reconnect.
Work account blocked
Organizational accounts may require admin consent before third-party apps can connect. Ask your IT administrator to approve Patriot Mail in the Azure Active Directory app permissions panel.
Still stuck?
Email support@patriotmail.ai and include the error message, your account type (personal or work), and your device.
Managing access
Sign in to your Microsoft account and visit the Microsoft privacy dashboard.
Navigate to the apps and services section. Find Patriot Mail in the list of connected apps.
Click the remove or revoke option next to Patriot Mail. The access token is revoked immediately.
