Spectrum email works with Patriot Mail and any other email app using your normal password. The one thing that surprises people is the server name: it is mobile.charter.net, on a computer as much as a phone.

An address at rr.com, twc.com or a regional Road Runner name such as tampabay.rr.com is a Spectrum mailbox on these servers.

How to connect Spectrum Email

Enter your address
Choose Add account and type your full address, whether it ends in charter.net, spectrum.net, rr.com or twc.com.

Enter your password
Use the password you use to read your mail on the Spectrum website. There is no app password to create.

If it does not connect
Check the incoming server reads mobile.charter.net. That one name catches almost every failed Spectrum setup.

Spectrum Email and Patriot Mail
What are the IMAP settings for Spectrum email?
mobile.charter.net on port 993 with SSL for incoming mail, and mobile.charter.net on port 587 for outgoing mail. Your username is your full email address.
Why is the server called mobile.charter.net?
It is a leftover from the Charter brand and the mobile setup pages. It is the correct server for computers, phones and tablets alike.
Do rr.com and twc.com addresses work?
Yes. Road Runner and Time Warner Cable addresses are Spectrum mailboxes and use the same servers and your Spectrum password.
Will connecting Spectrum to Patriot Mail change my address?
No. Patriot Mail connects to the mailbox you already have, so your address stays the same and your mail stays with Spectrum.
