Ukr.net works with Patriot Mail and any other email app. Two things have to be done in Ukr.net first: turn on access for external programs, and create a password for the app to use.

A generated password, not your own
Since 2020 Ukr.net has refused the main mailbox password in email apps. It gives you a separate generated password instead, one per app, which you can remove later without changing your own password.

Access for external programs starts switched off. Turn it on in the same settings page where the password is created, or the app is refused before the password is even checked.

How to connect Ukr.net

Turn on access for external programs
Sign in to Ukr.net in a browser, open the settings, and find the page for managing IMAP access. Turn access for external programs on.

Create a password for the app
Create a password on that same page, name it so you recognize it later, and copy it. Ukr.net generates it for you.

Add the account to Patriot Mail
Open Patriot Mail, choose Add account, enter your full ukr.net address, and paste the generated password rather than your own.

What are the IMAP settings for Ukr.net?
imap.ukr.net on port 993 with SSL for incoming mail, and smtp.ukr.net on port 465 with SSL for outgoing mail. Your username is your full ukr.net address.
Why will my Ukr.net password not work?
Ukr.net no longer accepts your main mailbox password in an email app. In your Ukr.net settings you turn on access for external programs and create a password for the app, then use that here.
