Bluewin Email IMAP Settings and Setup

Bluewin email from Swisscom works with Patriot Mail and any other email app using your normal password. Both server names end in an s, and that is the detail that stops most setups.

Server settings

What to enter, if an app asks you

Patriot Mail fills these in for you. They are here for any other app that asks, and so you can check what you were given.

What is different about Bluewin Mail

Worth knowing

Both server names end in an s

imaps.bluewin.ch and smtpauths.bluewin.ch. An app that guesses imap.bluewin.ch or smtp.bluewin.ch cannot find the server at all.

Worth knowing

Your Swisscom login is the password

The password you use for Bluewin webmail is the one an email app needs. There is nothing extra to create.

Step by step

How to connect Bluewin Mail

1

Enter your address

Choose Add account and type your full bluewin.ch address.

2

Enter your password

Use your Bluewin password, the same one you use for webmail.

3

If it does not connect

Read both server names again, letter by letter. The missing s is nearly always the answer.
